  2. It’s one thing to be a part of someone’s past, remembered, even if bitterly, but to have no place there, that is quite another kind of pain. Erasure is rarely, if ever, mutual.

  3. “Older, harmer, unable to trust, unable to move forward” I never thought I would ever go from a young state of being unable to trust, unable to move forward to being in what you’ve so perfectly described.
